Players journey out into the Galaxy and search for the different quests to complete. A majority of the missions are based on combat. They will also earn more experience points after each quest is finished. The more experience players earn in Mass Effect 2 the higher they level up.

Awesome, thank you! No, mate. You don't have to buy it again. You can use the same key that you got for buying the game on the Steam to activate it on Origin. No extra cost GregDave [author] 31 Dec, pm. Hate that the answer is buying it in two places, but oh well. It's much easier to redeem and download the main game on Origin and let it handle all the DLC rather than you having to fanny about with all these workarounds. The reason I bought on Steam in the first place was in the hope I would be able to avoid Origin entirely as I'm not a fan.
However, as that is not possible you might as well let Origin do the whole thing rather than fighting to get Origin and Steam working in tandem. I, like everyone else bought ME2 and at first i did get the Cerberus failed to connect like everyone else. After waiting a while i tried again and it worked and connected me to the Cerberus network.
